I liked the main characters in this story and found the the love story convincing. It was a fairly straight-forward romance with any drama being external. It was low-angst, and it didn’t have a strong climactic moment for me. However, if looking for a low-angst romance with worthy characters, this is a good choice. Overall, these three books really shine when it comes to female friendships and I know I’ll be reading them again and again. I literally wanted to throw my phone when the first sex scene ended up being fade to black! 😭🔪I wish there was more time spent on these two getting to know one another outside of the issues with the hospital and London being hung up on the rivalry. The main downside was the steamy parts were kind of meh. Not much buildup or anything other than straight to P in V action which somehow magically leads to multiple orgasms. It kind of made me roll my eyes and I wish there had just been fewer scenes altogether if it was where it was going to go.

Also the fate of what would happen to the hospital where London worked and other aspects of her career journey heavily impacted the story. And Drew’s reasons for wanting to be involved with helping out struggling hospitals added a lot to his character. It’s frenemies with benefits, so it gets tense and hot, but also has some sweetness and heavy real life relatable moments weaved in. I loved the banter between London and Drew and just the fact that this was HS rivals to adult… whatever they are now 😂 but also that this was about family and friendships too. Definitely recommend if you enjoy contemporary romance with FWB trope.
